Over the years, the ASP.NET framework community has grown, and developers have embraced the technology along with the improvements that have arrived for SQL connectivity and command functionality. Another thing became clear over the years--Microsoft was positioning SQL Server to be the main storage point and analytical core of its enterprise reporting system.

Another thing became clear over the years--Microsoft was positioning SQL Server to be the main storage point and analytical core of its enterprise reporting system.

The continual improvements and features that have been added to Microsoft's Integration Services and Reporting Services, along with an eye on emerging and progressive technologies, have allowed Microsoft to continue to advance to the point where developers can indeed create a RDBMS and enterprise reporting system using the technology. In order to compete with companies such as SAP and Oracle, they kept up their pace, and improved the scalability of the system.
