Microsoft Announces Office 2013 Support for More Standard File Formats

Microsoft recently announced full support for several standard file formats due in Office 2013

Years of conflicting file format standards, Microsoft has announced that they will soon support several new file format standards including .ODF, Open XML and native PDF. Full adherence to each one is Microsoft stated. Apparently “Supported” and “Fully Supported” are two different things and now Microsoft will “Fully Support these already, previously “Supported” standard document file format extensions.
