Microsoft announced the release of their new Office 365 Message Encryption service, providing users with a new method to allow users to both send and receive encrypted email directly from their desktops.

Particularly useful for health care and legal industry related records and agreements, Office 365 Message Encryption allows IT managers to now setup rules for when emails will be encrypted, via the GUI or the PowerShell. What’s more is the encryption process is transparent to the user, and the encrypted email is "delivered directly to the recipient's inbox and not to a Web service." The new encryption feature also removes the need for certificate maintenance. Read the full details here.
