Windows 8 may not include downgrade rights but that’s not stopping Microsoft from including support in their flagship development tool for the popular OS of all times.

Microsoft's new update to Visual Studio 2012 adds support for XP allowing developers to continue developing applications for Microsoft’s bestselling, and still amazingly popular operating system, Windows XP. The new update includes improvements related to four main areas of development:  Windows development, SharePoint development, agile teams, and continuous quality. Also, Windows developers now have the added functionality to write C++ applications for Windows XP using VS 12.1. Update 1 includes improved diagnostics and testing for Windows Store apps, and code analysis to help improve the quality of applications for Windows Phone 8. Read the full story here.
