Microsoft Goes to China with Windows Azure

Microsoft’s Windows Azure public cloud is going to China and Microsoft has initiated the paperwork with Shanghai move it forward.

With the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in motion with Shanghai and the signed agreement in place to allow 21Vianet to license Microsoft technology, customers in China will soon be able to access Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Azure directly from the Microsoft data centers supplied by 21Vianet and located in Singapore and Hong Kong.
